5 Frame Story Board

FINAL

To start my project off i did not know so much so I went to my Grandmother and grandfather and asked them a few questions. After learning a lot of valuable information, I then Emailed another family member, my grandma on the other side of my family and thought I would ask for some information from her. After that, i went and created a family tree of both sides of my family. Finally i created a Prezi which gives a full discription of just a few of my family members.

I think this is very interesting to me. I have never heard a teachers point of view or the fact that a teacher would loose sleep over students. I find it very interesting in so many diferent ways.  I believe that my teacher is trying to say that they care for me. Actually care for me and care what my future looks like and cares what my grades are. Which again i find surprising.

Reflect on your stop-motion animation project. How did it go? What worked? What didn't work? If you're not finished - why? If you are finished go in to detail about the project and what you learned. Give as much detail and information as possible.

My stop motion animation went very well, i feel very pleased with that i did and it turned out a lot better than i thought! The only think that didnt work was the ending, i felt like it was kind open ended, but oh well.

What is your idea for your stop-motion animation? Explain yourself. Have you started taking photos? If not, when do you plan to take your photos? What is your action plan for today? What is your plan to GET SOMETHING DONE?

My idea for the stop motion is to do a movie on my mornings. and how i get up, get ready at 5:20 in the mornign then head to weights when it is super early. I might just do a normal morning or one with the normal timing at 7:45. I have not started taking photos but i am beginning today. and hope to be pretty much done by this weekend and be ready to edit.

A stop animation is a screenshot that captures one moment in time of usually a object. Once the picture is taken another is required for a second moment when the object moves just a tony bit.

Tell me about your 5 frame storyboard. What did you like about the project? What did you dislike? Was it hard to fit a story in to 5 images? Do you think you tell a clear story? What would you do differently if you could? Explain.

My story board is all about my life after school in the spring time with track and homework and working out and of course sleeping. I like this project because you allowed us to be free with it and use our minds to create it rather than a guide line. I believe i told a clear story, it is straight forward and simple but creative i feel like. If i could do anything differently i would get more shots of me doing the actual activities but i was home alone last night so taking a picture while doing homework is a little hard.

A story board is something you use to lay out a story or idea. they use them in tv, cartoons and many school events.

I do not know a ton of about photography because i am a guy and i do not photograph things a lot. If i take pictures i do on vacations or when something is funny.

Welcome back! How was your Spring Break? Tell me all about it. You've been out of school for 10 days so I know you will have plenty to share. Make it good!

On spring break I went down to Playa De Carmen in Cancun Mexico. I was down there for a week. While i was down there I went snorkeling, cave jumping, jet skiing, be lazy and the beach and saw the Mayan ruins. Other than that i was at home hanging out with my friends being lazy and sleeping as much as possible as usual.

Prepare yourself... I want you to really THINK about this blog post. I mean really use your brain. What is the significance of an infographic? What is the point of pairing graphics and information together? What impact can this have on a reader or viewer. EXPLAIN.

The significance of an infographic is to inform someone of very useful information using very gaudy colors, pictures, and graphs etc. By using these visuals it attracts one to the infograph where they would read and be informed by your information and gain a better understanding as to what you are presenting. The impact it would have on the reader is that they would walk away from your infographic and be persuaded or informed by your infographic.

I would 100% use a infographic instead of writing a 3 page paper. I hate writing a papers and making infographs are so much fun compered to writing a boring paper.

So far on my infographic, i am making goo progress and am steadily getting things done. But i have spent my time very wisely trying to make sure everything looks great and the facts are correct and cited correctly.  But i do not think i will be done by the end of the day today.

Why do I have you brainstorm and collect your information in a Google Doc before putting in to final draft? Explain.

By brainstorming first is allows you to pick and choose what information fits best in your final draft. It also allows you to just get a basic outline and give you time to pick and choose what kind of format you would like on our final draft.

Yesterday I introduced you to infographics... tell me again what they are and how they are used? What is the benefit of an infographic? What goes into an infogrpahic?

Also, go out and see if you can find an already existing infographic on your global issue. Save the image to your computer and upload the image into your blog post for today. Save the source link to the image so that you can site the image in your blog post. See my examples at the end of this post.

~An infographic is a very colorful an picture filled page that is attention grabbing. It is fact filled with many different statistics. The benefit of using and infograph is to display facts and info in a very interesting way that appeals to all audiences.

For my research paper I decided to research on of one of the worlds largest issues, Poverty. My Poverty paper was five paragraphs and talked about the cause, effects and possible solutions to poverty. I found many ways that the world could work together and quit spending money on war materials.

So far with my 5 paragraph essay i am two paragraphs into it. But at the moment i have had no writers block or anything that has caused me much trouble. But yes creating an outline online was a must have in order to keep me on track and up to pace with everybody else in the class

Tell me about your Sweetheart weekend. If you didn't go to Sweetheart, what did you do? I want details!

Well I was not here in town for sweetheart since i was in Belize. So my weekend was spent on a 4 acre island in the Caribbean sea. When i was there i spent most of my time deep sea fishing or just laying on the beach eating chips and salsa. So that is how i spent my sweetheart weekend.

I look up to my mom in my life for a few reasons actually. First off she is the hardest worker i have ever met and i am not just saying that because she is my mom. She is always working so hard and doing things for others out of the kindness of her heart. My mom has always given me advice and done what is best for me.

 For my global issue i choose poverty.  I choose this topic because i believe it is a very large issue in our world today and i think it is something that is not being addressed properly in our world today.

If you could pick one issue in the world to fix or change what would it be and why?

If i could fix one issue it would be world hunger. I would choose this because there are people starving and dying of thirst and malnutrition, and yet we are here dining in whatever food we want from wherever we want it. It just does not make sense to me that more people are not taking action on this major issue in our world today. I see it as the worlds number one main issue. I would even put this issue over topics such as war.

What is a Public Service Announcement? If you don't know what it is, Google it. In your own words, now tell me what it is? What are they used for? Can you recall an example of a PSA you've seen before?

A public service announcement is a notice usually sent out by the government on television, radio or internet. the message to change the view or opinion of the public on a certain topic. These originally came to use before and during WWII and have been in use ever since. But in my lifetime I do not remember a public service announcement.

Tell me about your three day weekend. How was it? What did you do? Elaborate!

For me, the three day weekend was a very relaxing and fun time. First off, since we got off school early on Friday I went out to eat with a few of my good friends. After that I went to a workout for football then spent that night with the same friends. Saturday morning I was up bright and early for work. I am employed at Grass Pad on 199th street right of 69 highway. I worked 7:45 to 5 that night. And after a long days work I went out with a few of my friends to go to a party. Then on Sunday I got up for church and then in the afternoon I had a basketball game which we ended up loosing. And Finally on Monday since we didnt have school i spent the whole day in bed and doing homework.

What have you learned about Google Drive and Google Presentation so far? What do you like about it? What problems have you run in to? Is it better than PowerPoint? 

So far i have learned that Google presentation is very easy to use. I have explored a lot of the many customization options Google Presentation and Google Drive have presented me. But so far i have only found one down side of Google Presentation, and that is that you cannot crop a picture once it is inserted into the document. Finally, if I had the  option to choose between Google Presentation and PowerPoint I would most likely stick with PowerPoint for a few reasons. These reasons include the customization is much easier to use in my book, and also I am very used to using PowerPoint and am new to Google Presentation.

Tell me if you agree with this statement and then explain why or why not. "Images on the internet are 'free game' - if someone posted I should be able to use it."

I do agree with this statement that if someone posts a picture on a website, social media, blog etc. the picture is up for the whole world to see. And I Personally believe that if someone puts something on the internet they are consenting to the fact that anyone, anywhere in the world can view that photo.

I would like to walk out of this class with more information about technology and how to use it to my advantage, such as in college or even in high school. I would like to be able to use the internet and different programs more effectively and efficiently.
